My key mapping doesn't work. What should I check?#
1. Make sure the Accessibility service is enabled (Settings → Accessibility → Gamepad Pro).
2. Make sure mapping is turned on (not paused).
3. For text actions, switch to the Gamepad Pro keyboard.
4. If it worked before but stopped, check the battery / background settings (see the next question).
How do I create a key mapping?#
1. Pick a game or app from the list.
2. Tap to add a button, then press the controller button you want to use.
3. Drag it onto the spot on screen you want to tap.

How do I delete a key mapping or a preset button?#
Tap the button on the screen and a small menu appears with Copy and Delete. Tap Delete to remove it. This is also how you remove the preset buttons you don't need.
How do I set a screenshot of my game as the background?#
In the editor, tap the image button (bottom-right) and choose a screenshot from your gallery. It becomes the background so you can place each button exactly where it should tap.
How do I map the analog sticks or L2/R2 triggers?#
You don't have to record them — both sticks and both triggers are already in every new layout. Just drag them onto the spots they should control, and tap one to open its settings: the right stick can be a camera swipe (the default) or a movement dial, with sensitivity and response curve there too. They do need the Gamepad Pro keyboard to be enabled, because Android's accessibility service cannot read analog stick or trigger movement.

How do I map several buttons pressed together (a combo)?#
Start recording, then press the buttons together. They are saved as one combo, so the action triggers only when you press them at the same time. A combo can also work like a modifier: map LB+A and LB on its own, then hold LB and press A to fire the combo. While the combo is held, A's own action stays quiet, and LB's own action waits about 0.2 s so the app can tell the two apart.
What happens when I hold a controller button down?#
By default, holding a button keeps the screen pressed at that spot and only releases when you let go — a quick press is a quick tap, a long hold is a long press. This works well for aiming, sprinting and charged attacks. To change it, tap the button in the editor and open the gear icon.
The tap lands in the wrong place. How do I position buttons accurately?#
Set a screenshot of the game as the background, then drag each button onto the exact spot it should tap. You can drag it again at any time to fine-tune the position.
How do I pause or resume my mappings?#
Use the Mapping service switch at the top of the home screen to pause or resume every mapping at once. If you can't get back to the app, add the same switch to Quick Settings and reach it from anywhere. Pausing stops the mappings only — the accessibility service stays enabled.

I can't move and shoot at the same time. What can I do?#
That is a second touch being dropped. Update to the latest version first — newer builds already keep both touches alive on their own. If one still gets dropped, open Settings › Advanced multi-touch and follow the three steps there; the page tells you which one is missing. It is optional, and ordinary mappings work without it.

A button is in the wrong place. Can I fix it without leaving the game?#
Yes. Tap the floating button while you play and your layout appears on top of the game — drag the button to the right spot and tap the floating button again to apply it. Long-press the floating button to switch to another layout without leaving the game (you need at least two saved layouts for that).

What can a single controller button do?#
Any of them. One button can be a single tap, a hold that keeps the screen pressed, a turbo that taps over and over while you hold it, or a macro that taps several spots in order. The analog sticks can be a movement dial or a camera swipe. Tap a button in the editor and open the gear icon to choose.

How do phases work?#
Each game can have several phases: one for combat, one for driving, one for menus and so on. Phase 1 is used when the game launches. Switch phases in game with the cycle combo you set in the profile, or with the floating switcher pill.
What is Shizuku, and do I need it?#
Shizuku is an optional advanced enhancement. It lets Gamepad Pro inject multi-touch events more directly, with lower latency and smoother tracking than the accessibility path — most noticeable with two joysticks or several simultaneous touch paths. It does not replace the Accessibility service, and every mapping also works without it. On Android 11 and later it can be started with wireless debugging, but usually needs to be started again after a device reboot.
