Android versions and devices differ, so a few buttons may not be detected on some hardware. Try a different button, reconnect the device, or let us know through Feedback so we can look into it.
Make sure it's properly connected by Bluetooth or USB and paired in Android settings. Try reconnecting it and check that it works in other apps. Some controllers must be turned on in a specific mode.
Some games and launchers have built-in controller support and turn the left stick into a pointer. If the game already works with your controller, open its profile and turn mapping off for that game, or delete the left-stick mapping. If you want Gamepad Pro to handle it instead, open the phase, tap the left stick keycap and choose Movement dial.
