Can I move the on-screen buttons?#
Yes, and it is free. Open Settings, Pad layouts to see every layout, rename or delete your own, and tap one to drag, resize, fade or hide any control. Presets offers Standard, Compact, Remote, Fighting and Racing to start from, and Export JSON and Import JSON move a layout to another phone through the clipboard. On phones you edit landscape layouts; tablets also get a Portrait tab for the layouts used in split view.
Can I use my own layout while streaming?#
Yes. In the quick panel, under Layout, tap Custom and pick one of your landscape layouts. Compact and Standard are the built-in choices, made to cover as little of the picture as possible. If the layout you picked is deleted, streaming goes back to Compact. Editing a built-in layout saves your version as a copy, so the original stays available.
The on-screen pad is missing or faint while streaming.#
Check Gamepad in the quick panel: Auto hides the pad while a physical controller is connected, Hidden always hides it, and Always keeps it on screen. Minimal mode hides it too. Streams start with the Compact layout, which uses smaller, fainter keys, so switch Layout to Standard or raise Overlay opacity if they are hard to see.
How do I switch between a stick and a D-pad on the Compact layout?#
Tap the small tab at the bottom edge of the round control. It switches between stick and D-pad, and the left and right sides switch separately.
How does the on-screen touchpad work?#
Slide one or two fingers on it to send touches, and tap it quickly for a touchpad click. Holding a click down is not supported.
Can I use a real controller with it?#
Yes. Any controller Android recognises over Bluetooth or USB is forwarded, with a default mapping chosen from its maker. In Pad mode the on-screen pad stays usable next to it. While streaming, the app asks once whether to show the on-screen pad as well, and Gamepad in the quick panel changes that later. Several controllers and the on-screen pad all count as one controller on the console.
The buttons on my controller are in the wrong places.#
Open Settings, Button mapping with the controller connected and pick it. Tap an action and press the key you want; sticks can be inverted, and Live test shows what each key sends. Tap Save to keep the changes. The mapping is stored per controller model, so two controllers of the same model share it, and Reset brings back the default.
My controller has no PS button or touchpad, or they do nothing.#
Most controllers get combos: Select and Start together act as the PS button, and Select and L3 as a touchpad click. A controller that already has a PS button only gets the touchpad combo. The combos cannot be changed, but under Settings, Button mapping you can bind PS, Touchpad or MIC to any single key instead. The Standard on-screen layout has every key as well.
Does a controller made for the console work fully on the phone?#
Over Bluetooth, its buttons and sticks are forwarded, but its touchpad swipes, motion sensor and microphone are not. Connected over USB while streaming, tap Allow in the quick panel to get adaptive triggers, the light bar and controller haptics, free for everyone. If it says USB access blocked, another driver on the phone holds the controller, so connect it over Bluetooth instead.
How do vibration and button haptics work?#
Vibration from the game goes to the physical controller when it has motors, and to the phone otherwise. The short buzz when you press on-screen keys is Button haptics under Input in the Pad mode menu: each tap moves to the next level, from off up to 3, and the level you pick is remembered.
Where are the microphone and motion sensing?#
In Pad mode, both are under Input in the menu. Motion sensing sends the phone's gyroscope and accelerometer, and it starts off each time you connect. The microphone asks for permission first; after that, tapping it switches between Live and Muted. While streaming there is no motion sensing, and the microphone is the MIC key on the on-screen pad. Both are free.
How do I put the console to rest or go to its home screen?#
In Pad mode, Actions in the menu has Wake console, Put console to rest, Console home, and Lock screen, which ignores touches until you unlock it. The PS button on the on-screen pad works too.
Can I use it to control video apps on the console?#
Yes. In Pad mode, turn on Remote layout under Layout in the menu for big keys made for media apps. Turn it off again to pick another layout.
