AI copilot

11 questions

Does AI copilot cost anything?#

Not from us. It runs on your own API key: we never handle it and add nothing on top, and the provider bills you directly for what you use. The Game guides section in Settings, AI copilot shows a rough cost per guide for the provider you picked, and Usage keeps an estimate for this month, including how many web searches were made.

Where does my screen go?#

Only when you ask: your guide topic, the game name and, if you attach it, a downsized frame of the stream go straight to the provider you set up, which runs the web searches. There is no server of ours in between, and we keep no logs; guides are saved on this phone only. Your key is stored encrypted on this phone, and without a key nothing is sent anywhere.

Where do the game guides come from?#

When you search for a guide, the model you set up searches the web itself: Anthropic, Google, OpenAI and DeepSeek all run the searches on their side. It reads the results and writes a step-by-step guide in your language, with the sources listed underneath. Guides are saved on this phone only, so reopening one costs nothing.

Why does my guide say No web search?#

Only Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek and OpenAI's own endpoint can search the web. A self-hosted or third-party OpenAI-compatible endpoint, such as OpenRouter or Ollama, answers from the model's own knowledge, which may be out of date for newer games. For searched guides, pick the Anthropic, Google or DeepSeek card, or enter OpenAI's own endpoint on the OpenAI compatible card.

How much does one guide cost?#

Anthropic and OpenAI charge about one US cent per web search on top of tokens, so a guide is roughly 8 to 15 cents. Google includes thousands of free searches a month. DeepSeek charges only for tokens, well under a cent. Search depth in Settings caps the number of searches, and Usage shows this month's estimate.

How do I get an API key?#

Anthropic: create one under API keys in the Anthropic Console. Google: tap Get API key in Google AI Studio. DeepSeek: create one under API keys on the DeepSeek Platform. OpenAI compatible: use the key from your provider's dashboard, such as OpenAI or OpenRouter; for Ollama on your own computer, enter its address as the Base URL, type anything as the key and pick a model that can read images. The Anthropic, Google and DeepSeek cards in Settings, AI copilot have a Get a key link.

Why is the guide wrong?#

Sources can be outdated or about another version or platform; the guide names the version when the sources do. Ask a follow-up with the chapter, the boss name or your build, and the guide is rewritten for you. If the game name is missing or wrong, fix it in the panel before searching, or try another model in Settings.

How do I change the voice commands?#

There are 8 built-in commands, such as Open map, Pause and Screenshot. Open Settings, AI copilot, Voice commands and tap one to change the button it presses or add your own phrases; anything that isn't a command goes to the game guide panel, as a topic or as a follow-up. On phones without a speech recognition service, or without the microphone permission, type in the panel instead.

AI copilot can't reach the provider?#

AI requests don't go through the app's PSN connection proxy; they go out over your phone's own connection. If Anthropic, Google or DeepSeek can't be reached where you are, switch to another provider card, or to OpenAI compatible and enter an endpoint you can reach, or Ollama on your own computer. Test connection on the same page tells you whether it works.

How do I turn AI copilot off?#

Turn off Use AI copilot in Settings, AI copilot. A long press on the stream then opens the quick panel again, and the AI keys are gone from the top bar. To remove your key too, tap Clear next to it; the encrypted copy is deleted right away.

Can I use it if I can't see the screen well?#

Yes. Describe the screen in the quick panel, or saying Read it to me into the voice button, says the most important thing first and then reads out the text on screen. Guides in the panel work with TalkBack, and each step can be ticked off. With TalkBack on, screen descriptions in the caption bar are read out by TalkBack; without it, turn on Read answers aloud in Settings.
